Flexi-Orb is an installation standards scheme for renewable technologies, including Solar PV, Electrical Energy Storage Systems and EV charge points. Installers can register installations against the right product type, capture customer and property details, provide the technical data needed for the installation and keep their scheme records up to date. Admin teams can manage installers, companies, certification bodies, consumer codes, IBG providers, manufacturers and related operational records.

The system also supports the processes that sit around the installation itself: certificate generation, DNO notifications, customer reviews, consumer surveys, support tickets, exports and reporting. That means the scheme has a much clearer record of what happened, who was involved and what needs attention.

An installation links the installer, customer, property, product type, manufacturer, capacity, finance information, certification body, consumer code, IBG provider, dates and certificate registration number. Product types can define the fields and validation rules needed for different technologies, so the portal can adapt as the scheme evolves.

When key events happen, background jobs and event listeners handle the operational work: generating certificates, sending review requests, creating DNO form PDFs, emailing notifications, checking review concerns and keeping reports up to date.
